LISA KAUL

Nineteen years ago, I moved to Dutchess with my husband and toddler. I came here as an immigrant. And I found a place where people look after each other. In Dutchess, we spend weekends coaching soccer or little league, or evenings volunteering with the PTA.  We do whatever it takes to care for our aging parents, for those who are less fortunate than us and for those who have recently arrived. In Dutchess, we try not to be wasteful. We don’t take our beautiful land for granted. We contribute generously to our community and we live responsibly within our means.  

Dutchess deserves a county government that supports this kind of living. Our government can enable us to flourish – by providing educational and recreational opportunities for our kids and young people, and ensuring access to good child care and elder care; by keeping housing prices and taxes under control, so our kids can afford to raise their own families here and our parents can afford to stay in their homes; by offering mental health services for those in crisis; and by preserving the green, beautiful spaces we all love.

As your county legislator, I will bring my creativity, experience, and hard work to making our county government work for ALL.
